The Wind Terminal

A Wind Terminal serves as an etheric bridge to the spiritual realm, offering a text-based means for sharing thoughts and ideas with those beyond. Messages sent by this terminal are transported to the ethereal plane.

The Wind Terminal combines a text-based interface with the traditional Wind Phone function, allowing users to either pick up the receiver or type out a message and speak to their chosen loved ones, continuing the legacy of comforting connection.

Our objective is to offer the Wind Terminal and WindOS as an extension of the Wind Phone project, continuing efforts to give back to our communities and support recovery, reconciliation, and personal solace during difficult times.

WindOS is cross-platform and medium agnostic capable of running on nearly any configuration.

To use this interface:

• Type your thoughts and message in the input field.


• Press "Send" or hit "Enter" to submit your message.


• Your message will appear above the input field.


• Messages are transmitted to their ethereal destination.


• No data is collected or saved by the terminal.

Our conceptual Wind Terminal suggests the etheric plane is a realm of intangible existence. A transcendent, invisible, and immaterial space that coexists in parallel with the physical plane inhabited by spiritual or meta-physical beings.

Wind Terminal Wisps '  ' seen in the main terminal window are a simulation of message transmission to the ethereal plane.

Each Wisp carried across the ether is a message sent by users of the Wind Terminal from across the globe in real-time. Wisps serve as a tiny reminder of the power of connectivity through community.
